Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and the providers that process it. Short version: we log basic usage to run the site, and we don't sell your data.

Updated Jun 2026 Calibrated to the strong-hire bar

This policy explains what productinterview.com collects when you visit, how we use it, and who processes it on our behalf. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.

What we collect

  • Usage and analytics data. Pages you view, referring URLs, approximate location (derived from IP, not stored as a precise location), device and browser type, and timestamps. We use this to understand what content helps and to keep the site running.
  • Server and system logs. Standard request logs, including IP address and user agent, generated automatically by our hosting and used for security, debugging, and operations.
  • Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you write. We use it only to respond and improve the site.

We do not require accounts, and we do not ask for sensitive personal information to read the site.

How we use it

To operate, secure, and improve productinterview.com: measuring which content is useful, diagnosing problems, preventing abuse, and deciding what to write next. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Where it's processed

We host on Vercel and DigitalOcean. Usage analytics and system logs are collected through Vercel for analytics and operational management. These providers process data on our behalf as part of delivering and securing the site, under their own privacy and security terms.

Cookies and similar technologies

We keep client-side storage minimal. Analytics may use cookies or equivalent identifiers to distinguish visits and sessions. You can block or clear cookies in your browser; the site works without them.

Data retention

We keep logs and analytics only as long as they're useful for the purposes above, then delete or aggregate them. Retention periods follow our providers' defaults unless we set a shorter window.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, use the contact page and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised policy.
